In 2012, the first Anatomy Fashion Show was created as a signature fundraising event for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by our Florida Alpha chapter at Florida International University (FIU).
Students took the runway in a campus ballroom to showcase different artists’ renditions of the human body. The models wore spandex underwear and were painted head-to-toe with latex paint. Students from fraternities, sororities and other clubs helped as models and audience members. Those in the audience were joined by families, advisors and other campus professionals. There was food, entertainment and a Master of Ceremonies to share the story of each work of art.
Since then, this event has grown on FIU’s campus and in our Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity community. As of today, over 50 chapters host Anatomy Fashion Shows and it is now a trademarked entity owned by our Fraternity.
Thank you for all you do to help our members make a difference!
