Credit Unions for Kids premiere employee engagement initiative!
According to Cone Communications, 93% of Gen Z survey participants reported that a company’s impact on society affects their decision to work there. It’s critical to involve staff in your philanthropic efforts and to make it fun, meaningful, and engaging.
Credit Unions for Kids was born in the Pacific Northwest by credit unions raising funds for employee families that had children treated at local children’s hospitals. It’s grown to be a nationwide movement because employees are passionate about the mission and feel ownership over the results and impact it has.
CU4Kids has a successful track record in activating employees in giving through Miracle Jeans Day, where employees can dress casually while making a donation. If your credit union already has a casual dress code, take it a step further and have the office dress up in themes; maybe create a competition on who is best-dressed.
There are two easy ways to collect funds: 1) cash donations in the office and then send a check to CMN Hospitals with the donation reporting form you can find on this page OR 2) use your unique online giving page associated with this site and collect donations via credit card.
Credit unions can participate in Miracle Jeans Day anytime. Thehe national day for 2020 takes place on Wednesday, September 9th.
