Give on the Go is an online and mobile banking fundraising solution that was launched by Credit Unions for Kids this year. Members can click a button when signed into their account and be guided through a quick and easy process to make a donation. It’s like the icon campaign, but virtual!

 

Currently, Alkami, Q2, and Fiserv (Corillian) are offering this tool to their clients. This is a free, secure, turnkey, and effective fundraising resource.

How to execute:

  1. Identify if your credit union uses Q2, Alkami, or Fiserv (Corillian) for your online and mobile banking services. If so, you can enable Give on the Go immediately. If not, you will have to wait for version 2.
    1. If you cannot enable Give on the Go yet but want to, consider reaching out to your provider and letting them know this is something you want. It will allow this tool to be prioritized.
  2. Identify a time frame you would like to host this campaign; 2-4 weeks is recommended. The campaign is most effective when it supplements other campaigns your credit union is already hosting for CU4Kids.
  3. To enable the tool, contact Nick Coleman at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at [email protected]. Nick will connect the appropriate representatives at the service provider and from Giveworx (the developers) to get you set up. Please note that this campaign requires at least a month of advanced notice to setup.
  4. It’s important to create a marketing campaign that directs members to make a donation. Simply adding a passive ‘donate button’ on the credit union site doesn’t result in strong activation of members. Consider these marketing ideas to motivate donors:
    1. Credit union matches all donations up to a certain amount.
    2. Include this new opportunity in credit union member communication platforms (newsletter, social media, branch signage)
    3. Print online giving page QR code and post at teller windows for in-person donations with a credit card.
