2021 Every Family Campaign

Dear Family & Friends,

Our sweet Alana girl has struggled for most of her life to gain and keep her weight in a good place. Challenges arose daily for us to keep her eating well. However, as she grew older and more independent we noticed her rejecting most foods, textures were really becoming an issue and she was struggling to try anything new. Her doctor was definitely concerned after her third weight check revealed yet another weight loss. As she dropped off the charts (low) for her weight, the doctor called in orders for some lab work. After 3 rounds of blood work over the course of a month, we were able to discover some factors that could have attributed to her lack of appetite. However, what she needed most was to get into a speech pathologist to begin Food Therapy as soon as possible. When we saw that our insurance did not cover the therapy well, we were completely discouraged. A friend recommended that we apply for a grant with the Children's Miracle Network to help with her medical costs. I never knew what this organization did until it completely changed the course of our daughters life. I'll never forget the day that I got the call that we were approved for a grant to help cover all her therapy needs; I completely broke down in tears of joy. This organization provided the assistance Alana so desperately needed. Alana is currently still in therapy once a week with Cox and is making strides in the right direction thanks to CMN!

Please consider supporting this organization with a donation; it truly helps families with medical expenses who are going through a hard time. CMN allowed us to take the focus off the medical bills and completely focus on Alana's needs. All contributions will benefit our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital here in Springfield, Mo. Any contribution will help, and all donations are tax deductible.

Thank you for visiting Alana's fundraising page!
