Dear Friends,

While swimming with friends, Elianna hit her head in the swimming pool and immediately wasn’t herself. Not seeing anything on her scans, doctors at our local urgent care sent us home. One week later, Elianna began vomiting and felt like there were ”hammers in her head”, her dad and I  brought her to a local children’s hospital, scans revealed an bleeding between her skull and brain and she was flown to JHCC by helicopter. Within hours of arriving at JHCC, Elianna underwent emergency brain surgery to stop the bleeding in her brain. Surgeons told her dad and I  that Elianna had a brain aneurysm. When Elianna woke up after surgery, she did not recognize either of us, within a few hours she remembered us. Elianna underwent extensive physical therapy and occupational therapy while in the hospital to re-learn things like how to walk, put on socks, and hold a fork she was walking on her own after just a few days! Elianna returned home after two weeks in the PICU at Johns Hopkins. Elianna has completed physical therapy, and returns to the Children’s Center twice a month for ongoing Occupational Therapy (they are Great), her recovery has been tough, but she is a “walking miracle”. There is no words or anything to describe the gratitude I feel for JOHNS HOPKINS! There family, they saved my little girl. Elianna hopes you consider supporting her participation in this event. All contributions will benefit her local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. This is very personal and important, and I hope you are able to contribute any little bit counts, helps, and goes a long way. Elianna and the rest of the family greatly appreciate it. All donations are tax deductible.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
