Twin boys Liam and Logan were born very prematurely at 28 weeks. They spent two months in Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, or NICU, then traveled monthly to Seattle Children’s Hospital to assess their kidney functions. Today, at 15 months, they are below the 20th percentile for height and weight, and they still get monthly shots for prevention of an immune disorder for which they are more susceptible. But Liam and Logan run, jump and get into trouble like any boys do! “Children’s Miracle Network was a godsend. It really was,” mom Angie Sauve says.
