Two and a half years without my Mo. My lovebug. My heart is forever broken that he is no longer here with us. Every day something else reminds me of my Mo and his incredible laugh. February always brings one of Mo man’s favorite things—Mix 106.5’s Radiothon for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Radiothon meant everything to Mo. He could not miss it. As soon as we knew the dates, he insisted that I take off because we had to be there. Knowing that he could do something to help somebody else meant everything to him.

I will be there on Friday to keep his tradition alive. It won’t be easy, but I can hear him saying “you’ve got this mom” from up above. I’ll definitely be giving out that phone number that he knew so well (410-823-1065!!). And my bonus son, who is also a Hopkins warrior, will be there to hold up that comma at the end -  we’ve raised over a million dollars for those kiddos who were his friends and are my heroes. The comma Mo held at his last Radiothon.

Johns Hopkins means everything to me. Even though Mo is no longer here, the staff, nurses, doctors, child life, everyone in their own way has touched my son’s life and mine in ways that are beyond imaginable. They did everything they could to save my son’s life. I can’t thank them enough—but I’m going to try. I can’t believe it's our third Radiothon without my Mo. He has left a legacy with Radiothon and I’m fundraising again in his honor because I know he would want me to.

Give $5. Give $100. Give whatever you can because every single dollar means the world to those kiddos and the care providers at Hopkins. And means the world to me. It would mean the world to Mo.

Radiothon is Thursday, Feb. 23 and Friday, Feb. 24. I hope you’ll tune in to Mix 106.5—Mo would have wanted us to. Every donation through my page will be counted towards this year’s Radiothon total. You can also join my team and create your very own fundraising page in Mo's honor. Radiothon meant everything Mo—let’s make it the biggest year yet. Thank you!

Forever and always #MoStrong 💛
